To design a user experience that truly serves your users, we step into their shoes and try to see the world through their eyes. This process can start with creating customer personas based on market research and then identifying their key pain points. This will help in narrowing down the main problems we want to solve with our UX design.
Product Definition
This is the part where the context of the existence of the product/service is understood and defined. UX UI designers come together for brainstorming sessions to come up with the desired end goals. Product definition can be achieved through a combination of routes such as stakeholder interviews, mapping of value propositions, and concept sketching.
Research
In this phase, our seasoned team of UX UI designers combines user research and market research to make design decisions. This phase largely depends on product/service complexity, resources, and timeline. Individual in-depth interviews and competitive research are a few tools used at this stage.
Analysis
This phase focuses on answering the ‘why’. Why do customers want/need what they want? Why do users think/act like they do? These questions are answered by creating user personas, user stories, and storyboarding.
Design
Once the user needs have been established, we move on to the design phase. At this point, product teams are engaged in creating information architectures and making the UI design collaborative and iterative. This phase involves creating wireframes, design systems, and design specifications. Another important feature of this phase is prototyping. A simulated product is created for testing. It may be a low-fidelity clickable wireframe or a high-fidelity coded prototype depending on the business requirements.
Validation
This phase involves testing of the UX design with user testing sessions, surveys, and analytics to fine-tune the design before it can be rolled out into the market.
